The short answer
AGI debates become more useful when they include the full system that turns intelligence into reliable action.
A model can solve a benchmark and still struggle to complete a messy, multi-step objective. General intelligence is partly a question of the surrounding system.
Memory, planning, tool use, feedback, and social context all shape performance. A capable model without a dependable operating loop remains a fragile component.
Instead of asking whether one model is intelligent, ask which environments it can navigate and which forms of work it can reliably complete.
