The short answer
AI reliability includes model quality, tool behavior, state management, permissions, latency, and recovery across the full workflow.
A model can be right most of the time while the product still feels unreliable. Timeouts, stale state, confusing errors, and unclear permissions all shape the user's experience.
Track whether the task finishes, how much correction it needs, and how often a person abandons it. Completion is a better unit than isolated answer accuracy.
Every workflow needs a way to pause, retry, undo, or escalate. Reliability is partly the quality of the recovery path.
